What is Health Coaching?
Health coaching, also referred to as wellness coaching, is a process that facilitates healthy, sustainable behavior change by challenging a client to listen to their inner wisdom, identify their values, and transform their goals into action.
Wellness has been defined as “the degree to which one feels positive and enthusiastic about life”. As your health coach, I’ll assist you in crafting your wellness vision and then walk with you to achieve it! Your wellness vision statement will reveal your highest potential and can include 1, 2 or all 7 Dimensions of Wellness:
- Physical
- Emotional
- Intellectual
- Social
- Spiritual
- Environmental
- Occupational
What is Wellness?
Wellness is the pursuit of continued growth and balance in the seven dimensions of wellness. Many people think about “wellness” in terms of physical health only. The word invokes thoughts of nutrition, exercise, weight management, blood pressure, etc. Wellness, however, is much more than physical health. Wellness is a full integration of physical, mental and spiritual well-being. It is a complex interaction that leads to quality of life.
Wellness is commonly viewed as having seven dimensions. Each dimension contributes to our own sense of wellness or quality of life, and each affects and overlaps the others. At times one may be more prominent than others, but neglect of any one dimension for any length of time has adverse effects on overall health.
How can a health and wellness coach help me improve my life?
Having a health coach walking with you on your journey helps you make a plan, focus on results, and reach your goals. Five ways a wellness coach can improve your life are by helping to:
- Clarify your focus ~ identify your beliefs, values and vision, and goals.
- Set you up for success ~ create an action plan to achieve your goals.
- Prepare you for the unexpected ~ eliminate roadblocks or barriers that stand in the way.
- Keep you on course ~ hold you accountable for your goals.
- Celebrate your achievements ~ acknowledge your hard work when you reach your goal.

What are your program topics?
Each of my programs has been designed to empower you to build and strengthen healthful habits. I have programs for weight management, decluttering, sleep, and overall wellness including:
- A 12-week Healthy Habits program designed to help you lose weight once and for all.
- A 3, 6, 9, or 12-month full health coaching program to build overall wellness habits.
- A 6-Week interactive Art of Aging for Women that was specifically targeted to women interested in ageless living.
- A 30-Day Clutter Cleanse (pretty self-explanatory).
- A 12-month Health & Wellness Immersion (you’re super committed & going for it!)

Do you offer individual programs? Group programs?
I have programs for both group and individual wellness coaching. Some programs are more fun with friends (or new friends!) and we use Facebook Groups to connect. Individual coaching is ALWAYS an option with any program. Any of my programs can be made into Group programs if you have your group together! You just need 2 people to start a private group program! I offer discounted rates for groups of more than 8 individuals wanting to join and start a program together and will work with you to provide that discount. Contact me to discuss your needs and for larger group rates (a ladies club, women’s church group, a corporate group, etc.)
Do you offer self-directed wellness programs or free programs?
I do have “freebies” and other resources available on my website along with free group challenges that I run via a Facebook Group. Join my Facebook Group page for more information!
I also do low-cost group challenges that run for 7, 10, or 14 days depending on the option. If you have a group of women friends, neighbors, co-workers, or church members who want to walk through a shorter challenge or cleanse together. This is such a FUN way to jump-start weight loss and wellness goals!
