Purpose Living on Purpose

Do you feel tired and sleepy when you get up in the morning? Maybe your mind is inundated with all of the day’s work and home-related pressure and stress. The majority of people face a lot of stress in their daily routine. Maybe it’s a stressful job, a messy home life, kids whining for every little thing, or even habits like unhealthy eating choices or using food or drink as comfort. All of us have life stressors. It is how we cope with them that determines if we are living on purpose. There are three simple steps to live your purpose and life while reducing stress. Keep reading to learn the simple steps every you must follow to live your life in a more manageable way for a balanced and healthy life.

One thing at a time.

A balanced and stress-free life is a dream of everyone. But your life will never be stress-free if you try to tackle too many things at once. This may lead to headaches (literally & figuratively!) and an unhealthy level of stress. The easiest way to start decreasing your stress is to focus on the most important task and get it done. For example, my office is a disaster as I write this. I need to organize it to alleviate the stress of looking at the mess. I need to do a serious Clutter Cleanse on that room! It’s a choice. Choose to focus on finishing your task, whatever it may be. Also, build up the healthy habit of reading before bed (and not on an electronic device!) to help relax your mind. When you wake with a less cluttered mind and refreshed mood, your day can begin with less stress.

Set your objectives.

Make a list of your goals and focus on those that lead you to a balanced and stress-free life. Write your goals as SMART GOALS: specific, measurable, attainable, related, and time-bound. Look at your handwritten objectives at least once in a day to motivate you to achieve them smartly. Set your goals and objectives as a top priority and learn to say “No” to those plans that are not included in your priority list and place stress upon you. Earn money and put your utmost effort into getting what you want in your life, but shorten and simplify your finances; spend money wisely. I always tell my Guys to work smarter, not harder. Find ways to have fun that doesn’t require as much money so you can use your finances purposefully as well.

Outline Your Journey

Life is unpredictable so make your journey a beautiful one. Do something that encourages you. Do things that make you feel fabulous. Whenever you feel down or stressed, try to do something creative that makes you feel more active. Take a nap, read a book, take a bath, or go for a nature walk to feel more refreshed. Sleep well and try to get to bed early because sleeping late can be very stressful and also not good for your health. Develop the habit of writing down your action steps at least once a day to help you to move even closer toward achieving your goal of a balanced and healthy life. Do this activity every day and one year you will take more than 1000 steps to help live your life on purpose!

Be Well,
